These are real people, real vehicles, and were shot on location at Fort Flagler State Park, and Bremerton Motor Speedway in Washington State, on Sept 16th and 17th 2015. All subjects in the photographs are my friends, and colleagues. They owned the vehicles, the tactical gear, the motorcycles and costumes. They all volunteered their time, their smiles, or more appropriately, their grit. There are many more who supported the event who chose not be photographed. They drove 3 or more hours, spent an entire day, many camped over multiple nights with the promise of no compensation and a terrible weather forecast.
The “Mission is Possible” event featuring Commercial Filming and Professional Photography operated on a primarily voluntary basis, meeting just out-of-pocket expenses like food, permits, travel, and camping costs. The event, (and the business focus) is inspired by Erik’s father who lost his battle to pancreatic cancer.
Special recognition for commercial film-maker, Jason D Farris, jasondfarris@gmail.com, Photographer Tom at Tomthompsoniv@photography.com, who have volunteered countless hours on location, as well as fine-tuning, video-editing, sorting and other professional services. Jesse Anderson, Chris Debandt provided services and vehicles as a race-car driver. Many others have contributed. I have listed them in the credits below.
While I am writing this, the short motion picture has not been completed, but was filmed simultaneously.
Erik Larson from Infinium Investigations will deliver. As you can see clear as day, Erik orchestrated the making of a commercial motion picture AND a professional photography event occurring simultaneously on one day, with 3 weeks preparation, and no prior production experience. Did it all on a shoe-string budget and a broken knee.
If it were not for the following, none of this would be possible. A special thanks goes to:
